Oconee Futbol Club to hold tryouts

The Oconee Futbol Club, Oconee County's only select soccer club, will hold evaluations for its Academy, Select and Athena teams beginning May 26. Evaluations for Academy will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on May 26, May 28 and June 1 at Oconee Veterans Park.

OFC will be forming boys and girls Academy teams at the U10, U11 and U12 levels. Evaluations for the U13 club teams will be held these dates as well. The age control date is August 1.

Tryouts for Athena (girls) and Select (boys) club teams will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. June 9, June 10 and June 15 at OVP. These teams compete in the Georgia Soccer Association under the OFC/Blue Springs Soccer Association affiliation; home games are played at OVP and away games are primarily in the Atlanta area.

It is best that players come to as many of the tryouts as possible. Parents should also arrive early to fill out the registration paperwork.
